Additional Announcements

The members of our CE will be taking part in this morning’s service.

Campaigners and CE are now finished for the year. Tots and Luncheon club are off for the next two weeks but will return on the 15th and 16th April respectively.

On Wednesday we will be having a special Easter Midweek entitled ‘Evidence for the Resurrection’. All welcome at 8pm.

On Friday evening all are encouraged to go along to our neighbouring church, Connor, for our joint Good Friday service. This will be at 8pm and the preacher will be Rev Emerson McDowell from 1st Ballymena.

Next Sunday there will be a Dawn service in the car park on Slemish. Stephen will be preaching at this at 6:30am! It will be a lovely way to begin Easter Sunday. 😊

Due to the Dawn service, there will be no early morning prayer meeting here in Kells.

Our Easter services will be at 12 noon and 6:30pm as usual. Please come along to celebrate this key event of our faith. The services are entitled ‘Three responses to the resurrection’ and ‘Reasons to Rejoice’.

The PW Conference is being held on Saturday 16th May in Assembly Buildings, Belfast. The speaker is Jo Frost and she will be thinking about how God is the God of the generations, and reflecting on how we can play our part as we seek to pass on our faith in this chaotic world. The event is from 10:30am – 1:45pm, it costs £10 and those wishing to go need to register. Coffee and Scones are provided.

If you would like to go as part of a group, please give your name and £10 to Carolyn, and she will book your ticket.

A container is heading from Ballymena to Romania with ‘Smiles’ in April. Smiles would be glad of donated items to fill the container. The following is what they are looking for:

Hygiene Wipes – TOP PRIORITY
Surgical Gloves – Medium (some S & L also)
Shower gel
Adult shampoo
Bath sponges
Detergent Auto washing powder / liquid
Multi-surface cleaning cream – eg. Dettol
Toilet cleaner / disinfectant

Pampers nappies sizes 2-6

If anyone would like to donate these items, they can give them to Susanne McNeilly over the next couple of days.

Foodbank donations from our congregation are now being given to the Trussell Trust foodbank at Ballyloughan Presbyterian. These donations need to be taken to Ballyloughan on the first Tuesday evening of each month, and so we are in need of a couple of volunteers who would be free to do this, so that we can continue contributing as a congregation. If you are free on a Tuesday evening, have a car, and would be willing to transport the donations, please speak to Susanne.
