If you would like an announcement to go into the sheet, please could you give it to Carolyn by lunchtime on Thursday. Also, if you are planning an event for your organisation, please could you give the date to Carolyn to go into the church calendar.

Additional Announcements

Please note that Church Road will be closed from 9am-5pm each day this week. It will be closed at the pigeon club during the first part of the week, meaning that cars cannot get down from Supervalu direction. During the second part of the week it will be closed at Church Meadows, the new houses to the left of our church building, meaning that cars from Glenaan/Rockfield/Connor direction will not be able to get through. This should not affect evening activities, but will affect Tots, Ladies’ Bible Study and Luncheon Club. Please be aware that you may have to make a long diversion on those days. The gate from Templemoyle will be open on both Wednesday and Thursday mornings, for those who want to park and walk through it.

Next Saturday morning is our Ladies’ Coffee morning. The speaker is Christine Mahood, who is a teacher from Belfast, with a lot of experience in speaking at ladies’ conferences in her spare time. All of the women and girls of our congregation, of all ages and stages, are warmly encouraged to come along for what should be a fantastic morning. You are also welcome to bring friends and neighbours, and invite women from other local congregations. There will be lovely food and great fellowship and teaching.

Our new Church family prayer and fellowship time will begin next Sunday 8th March at 10:45am. The tea rota is available in the vestibule. All in our congregation are invited to join for this time. There will be prayer from 10:45-11:15, followed by tea and coffee.

We are currently in the process of electing a new congregational committee. The committee exists to help the kirk session by taking on the responsibility of certain practical duties, such as caring for the needy, looking after the building, and managing finance. There are currently lists of eligible voters displayed at the front and in the vestibule. Please have a look at the list to check if it is accurate. If you have any objection to the exclusion or inclusion of a name, please send that in writing or via email to the minister by 11:59pm on Sunday the 1st of March, so that the list of voters can be finalised. Voting papers will be available next week and must be returned by the 22nd. Thank you.
