Additional Announcements

Equip returns to 1st Ahoghill on Tuesday evening. This year the series is called ‘Why we do what we do’ and will include nights on worship, prayer, preaching, baptism, communion and singing. This week the session is entitled ‘Why we worship’ and will be taken by Michael McClenahan, the principal of Union College. Bookmarks giving all the information on the 2026/27 session are available in the vestibule and on the coffee dock.

On Wednesday evening we have a missionary speaker at our Midweek meeting. It is Rory McKnight who is coming to speak about Global Aid Network. Rory is a nephew of Mervyn Johnston in Connor.

The Youth Fellowship have their first trip out on Sat 26th Sept to the Lake at Kilrea. It is open to those of secondary school age. The cost will be £30 for two hours. Please book with Tom McNeilly.

Our Harvest services are approaching, and, if you would like to donate, the following are ways you could do that:

-If you would like to provide tins and packets which can be used for decoration and afterwards donated to the foodbank, please leave these items in the entrance to the left of the vestibule.

-If you would like to give financially to help decorate the church, please put your donations in an envelope and put them in the offering plate, marked ‘Harvest decoration’. Please note that this is separate to the harvest offering which is given to a charity/mission organisation.

-If you made a wreath at the PW a few years ago, Linda would love you bring it in to be used to decorate a windowsill.

-The team will be decorating on the afternoon of Saturday 3rd October and will be glad of all who would like to be a part of this.

If you weren’t here last week and didn’t get the information on the Safeguarding and governance review, there are some copies of it in the vestibule and on the coffee dock. Please lift one.

There will be a short congregational meeting after the morning service on Sunday 27th September concerning our Foyer improvement project.  Copies of the plans for this project are available for you to view at the front and back of our church building from this morning. At the meeting on the 27th the plans will be presented and finances discussed, and then approval will be sought from the congregation to continue with this project.
