With the relaxation of Covid rules we want to make you aware of the following:
Pastoral Visitation
Up to 15 people (including children) from no more than three households can meet up outdoors in a private garden, but social distancing should be maintained. Therefore, where possible ‘garden visits’, remain the best form of pastoral visitation by ministers, elders and pastoral visitors.
Up to six people from no more than two households can meet in a
private dwelling from Monday 24 th May (with children aged 12 and under not counted in the total). Therefore, pastoral visitation in private homes may resume by ministers, elders and pastoral visitors within these constraints. However, in line with public health advice to continue to limit our contacts, it is best not to resume routine indoor visitation, but only visit indoors where there is a specific need and a ‘garden visit’ is not practicable.
Obviously ensure that pastoral calls do not cause anxiety or stress,
after long periods of people not visiting in private homes.
It is now possible for ministers to visit in both care homes and
hospitals, in addition to visits from family members. All local
restrictions and procedures should be followed, including in most
cases advance appointments for care homes. - Weddings and Funerals
As previous intimated with the change of regulations Kirk Session
have determined that in Kells we can accommodate up to 50 people for Funerals and up to 70 for Weddings. The difference is due to the fact that funerals are normally attended by single individuals and weddings by couples or family groups. With 2 metre social distancing still in force individuals require more space than family groups. In Eskylane the maximum number is 20 for both Weddings and Funerals.
Please note that although Government regulations allow for postwedding and funeral social gatherings we are still not allowed to cater in the Church Halls and therefore with regret cannot offer our property for these at the present time.
