Ministers have been advised that pastoral care should continue to be offered over the telephone in the vast majority of cases. However there are now the following relaxations if there is an emergency in which telephone care cannot be offered:1. Ministers may visit one person in hospital where it is deemed essential and where the hospital agrees to a pre arranged visit. PPE must be worn during the visit.
2. Ministers may visit one person in a Nursing Home where it is deemed essential and where the Nursing Home agrees to a pre arranged visit. PPE must be worn during the visit.
3. Ministers may visit a private home where is deemed essential but may only visit one home on any given day. The use of PPE will be at the Minister’s discretion. In all visits social distancing rules must be observed and in home visits rules with regards to a maximum of 6 people being in the house must also be observed.
